16th Arctic Futures Symposium Coming in Early December

The 16th edition of the annual Arctic Futures Symposium will take place on December 2nd and 3rd at EFTA House in Brussels EU Quarter

This year's Arctic Futures Symposium will focus on "Sustainable Economic Development in a Changing Arctic Landscape".

In addition to featuring high-level speakers, the symposium will be built around topical panels chosen by our Arctic stakeholder partners. These will include:

  • Sustainable Economic Development Priorities of the Kingdom of Denmark Arctic Council Chairship
  • European Arctic Investment Scenarios 2040
  • Cross-Border Collaboration on Renewable Energy
  • The Power of Culture in the Arctic’s Future
  • Arctic Resources on the Terms of Arctic Peoples
  • Arctic Monitoring and Local Community Engagement

There will also be the award ceremony for the Laurence Trân Arctic Futures Award on December 2nd, several side events, including an Arctic Futures Scenarios workshop for graduate students, and event on Arctic security issues, and the popular Arctic shorts film evening.
